Fish in Horror Movies

Fiction vs. Reality

When I visited Aquazoo Düsseldorf, I saw piranha fish and it immediately brought horror movies to mind.

I've always loved horror films, especially those featuring animals, like Shakma, Jaws, and Piranha.

Horror films often explore human fears, such as abandoned places and predators.

Well-crafted movies like Jaws effectively use the fear of predetors as the central fear-inducing element.

However, it is important to recognize that horror movies can influence our perception of wild animals, sometimes distorting reality.

Despite their portrayal in movies, sharks, including great whites, don't typically target humans for attacks.

Contrary to their depiction in horror films, piranhas are actually omnivorous and human attacks are rare and usually not fatal.
